StyleKorean Try Me Review Me With Blithe's Green Recipe Skincare Kit

Blithe is a cruelty free K-Beauty brand that has been on my wish list for some time now due to having some of the most innovative products in the skincare world. I hadn't had the chance to try any of them until I was luckily chosen as a reviewer for Style Korean's Try Me Review Me.

Blithe's Green Recipe Skincare Kit contains four products surrounding their Smarter Skincare concept, Anti-Polluaging-- a combination of pollution + aging, which are two main causes of skin troubles.

This unique concept fueled Blithe to create highly concentrated products that fight skin damage due to both time and environmental stress(polluaging), leading to simplify multiple skincare steps into a shorter yet more effective routine, allowing skin to return to its natural, healthy state. Blithe never includes parabens, dyes, silicones, or mineral oils in their products.

Blithe Pressed Serum

is the world's first solid serum! Yes, this is actually a serum. Serums are my favorite step of my skincare routine, but I wasn't sure what to expect with a pressed serum. There are four different varieties, and the one I have is the Tundra Chaga.

Key Ingredients:

-Formulated with 56% cold pressed Tundra Chaga Mushroom(also known as Black Gold), naturally sourced from the pristine Siberian Tundra.

-Tundra Chaga is packed with the antioxidant beta-glucan and aids in calming inflamed skin, minimizing signs of aging, pollution, stimulates collagen, and nourishes the skin.

-Other ingredients include a fermented blend of olive and argan oils, as well as adenosine-- all of which aid in elasticity care, wrinkle reduction, and protection against environmental stressors.

As you can see the texture is very rich, firm, and pudding-like. It has a thick gel-cream consistency and is pleasantly cool to the touch upon application. There is no tackiness or sticky residue, and it absorbs almost instantly. Despite its thickness, it is surprisingly lightweight and spreads effortlessly on the skin! Don't let the brown caramel coloring intimidate you-- whenever it comes into contact with the skin, it heats up and transforms into a liquid-emulsion consistency. Pro tip: a little goes a long way!

There is a pleasant light floral, earthy scent that isn't too overbearing and dissipates once patted in.

Overall thoughts:

My skin absolutely loves this serum-- I've finally been able to say bye bye to dry skin! My skin has more bounce, looks more plump, and is much more moisturized. This revolutionary two-in-one product has been an absolute game changer for me, as it combines both the benefits of a serum and a moisturizer without the hassle of using multiple products. Unlike ordinary serums, this concentrated pressed serum was formulated to have a higher absorption rate, ensure deeper moisturization, and is enriched with high concentrations of nutrients for optimal nourishment.

Blithe 8 Nourishing Beans Vital Treatment

is one of Blithe's most raved about products, and for good reason. It was created to improve skin's elasticity, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, and improve radiance.

Key Ingredients:

-Formulated with 80% bean extracts including Black Soybean, Carob Bean, Mung Bean, Soybean, Kidney Bean, Lentil Bean, Red Bean, & Peanut-- all of which contain rich isoflavone and phosphatide that provide antioxidant, anti-aging, and moisturizing properties.

-The other 20% of ingredients include hyaluronic acid, adenosine, olive oil, fig extract, licorice, witch hazel, etc.

-Also contains Vitamin E micro-beads that burst when applied on the skin, working to invigorate and intensify skin nourishment.

The consistency of this product is bouncy yet thick, thicker than any other essence that I own-- so thick it takes a few shakes for a single drop to come out, but a little goes a long way. It has a smooth, silky texture and feels cool upon applying, and absorbs shockingly fast. The fact that the vitamin e micro-beads burst upon contact with the skin is a really unique and special touch. It provides an overall fresh, invigorating feeling on the skin and has a refreshing, earthy scent that I find very pleasant.

Overall thoughts:

I can't say much for the anti-aging claims of this essence, as I don't have any wrinkles. However, I have noticed my few fine lines in my forehead have become less prominent. My skin has become much less dull, more nourished, and incredibly smooth since I have been using this treatment. In all honesty, I would have never thought to incorporate beans into skincare! Now that I have tried it for myself though, I completely get it. This essence is literally a tall glass of hydration that would work well for all skin types. Who would have thought beans could do so much for your skin?

Blithe InBetween Makeup Prep Essence

is a lightweight serum that works to protect and prep the skin before applying makeup-- creating a radiant, smooth, flaw-free canvas. It enhances makeup wear while evening the skin's texture and also helps make removing makeup easier during the cleansing process.

Key Ingredients:

-Formulated with fermented soybeans, tomato leaf, rice extract, & ginseng, all of which help to fortify the skin's natural barrier.

-Contains squalane, niacinamide, and ceramides-- all of which work to brighten and boost hydration, as well as nourish the skin's barrier.

This product can be used with or without makeup, and gives the skin a beautiful glow from within when worn alone. When wearing under foundation, I have noticed that it layers beautifully! There is no pilling or buildup, and it feels very lightweight on the skin.

The serum has a juicy, slightly viscous consistency that is similar to a light gel, which helps keep my skin hydrated. It glides onto the skin so smoothly and leaves behind a slight tackiness, ensuring that the makeup has something to adhere to. There is a beautiful lavender scent that isn't overbearing and doesn't linger.

Overall thoughts:

The best way I can describe this product is like a primer + a barrier-- it multi-tasks to intensify and elongate makeup wear while creating a protective veil that helps keep makeup and other harmful external particles from coming into direct contact with the skin, as well as prevents dryness from wearing makeup.

The light film it creates makes the removal process a breeze, as it strips the coat of serum off of the skin along with all makeup that adhered to it. Whether using with or without makeup my pores are noticeably more blurred, my skin is more hydrated & glowy, and much less dull than if I weren't using it. This product has really taken my makeup game to the next level and has made my routine so much easier!

Blithe Patting Splash Mask

is another innovative creation from Blithe, and believe me when I say this is not your usual face mask. This product was inspired by a Korean bathhouse tradition of splashing botanical water on the face after cleansing, to clarify and brighten the skin. There are three different versions and the one I have is the Soothing & Healing Green Tea Mask.

Key Ingredients:

-Green tea, which is full of antioxidants(polyphenols) work to calm, soothe, and hydrate irritated or inflamed skin.

-Other ingredients include 60% botanical extracts, lactic acid, tea tree oil, and salicylic acid-- all of which help exfoliate and cleanse the skin to remove dead skin cells without stripping or irritating sensitive skin.

The dead skin cells are then replaced with vitamins and nutrients to help soothe, hydrate, and nourish the skin. It's basically a liquid mask with a high concentrate of active ingredients that must be diluted with water before use.

Simply mix a cap full of the liquid into a sink or bowl full of water and splash on your face for 15-30 seconds, then gently pat the mask into the skin to aid in absorption. It can also be used in the shower, which I personally find easier and less messy. This product also works as a booster to enhance absorption of all products applied afterwards. The consistency is that of water, with no viscosity. There is a heavy tea tree scent which I absolutely love, and has sort of an aromatherapeutic quality which makes the whole experience very relaxing.

Overall thoughts:

I'm honestly pretty surprised by how much I love this product-- even upon my first use I immediately noticed the soothing, cooling effect. My skin automatically felt refreshed, revitalized, soothed, and actually appears brighter after using. The brightening effect isn't immense, but it is absolutely noticeable. My pores have also become significantly smaller and my redness has even decreased. The exfoliation in this mask is effective, yet gentle enough despite my dry, sensitive skin. It may not be the most practical product but the results are definitely worth it. This single product can replace your exfoliator, mask, and toner all in one step! You can achieve smoother, glowing skin in as little as 15 seconds, making this a complete game changer in the mask world.
