Spascriptions Bedazzled Facial Mask Set Review & Demo
Hi beauties! I recently picked up the Spascriptions Bedazzled Glitter Peel Off Mask Set that I've been pretty excited to try out. I'm sure most of you have probably heard of or seen Spascriptions kits in your local Walmart or Tj Maxx/Marshalls, but if you were unaware they have a wide range of products to choose from. Most are masking kits that are very affordable, usually under $10 depending on where you purchase from. I've always been curious as to what their products were like but never took the plunge until I saw this glittery trio at Walmart. Let's be honest, it's always the glittery products that get me. This set comes with three different face masks-- one illuminating, one pore refining, and one tightening mask, along with a silicone applicator for mess free application. This product retails for $6.74 and each mask has 1.7 oz of product.
Look at that drool worthy texture!
This silver star glitter mask is the Illuminating mask, with vitamin C & Grapefruit to help brighten your skin.
This bright pink glitter mask is the Pore Refining mask with Aloe Vera & Witch Hazel to help sooth your skin & refine your pores.
Finally, this purple glitter mask is the Firming mask made with caffeine and mint, to help firm and tighten skin.
For my first facial mask, I used the illuminating silver mask. I purposely did not do my forehead due to the fact I wasn't feeling well at all and I really just wanted to quickly try one of them out, and the Illuminating mask stood out to me the most.
*please ignore my psoriasis on my eye, having flare ups lately*
As you can see, I did a pretty thin layer just to get a good feel of how quickly it would dry and the results I would see after one single layer. The consistency of the mask is really nice, but there is a slightly strong scent to the mask which some may find off-putting. The best way I can describe it is a sweet coconut smell mixed with a chemical scent. One of the main things I noticed was it did take a good while to dry, but once it did it was completely dry. I could barely yawn and my face felt quite tight, so I knew it was time to take it off. Overall I left the mask on for 35 minutes.
Pros: The silicone applicator included in the kit made application a breeze, and completely mess free. My face felt insanely soft and super smooth, and my skintone looked slightly more even than before I applied. The mask peeled off easily without breaking, even in the thin layer I applied.
Cons? This mask was a real pain to peel off, seriously. My eyes watered so bad as I removed the mask, and left my skin red for a while due to me having sensitive skin.
Overall verdict? This is a really fun kit for anyone who loves skincare and facial masks, but be careful if you have sensitive skin like I do especially when peeling the mask off. The end result was well worth the temporary irritation though, and well worth the insanely affordable price tag.
Have you guys tried anything from ? If so, what was it, and did you enjoy it? Let me know in the comments below! As always, thanks so much for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful week.
